He becomes the 1st Powerball winner to have won on January 1st, since the game was launched in 1992. However, he wasn’t the only one to strike luck on that draw as 6 other players guessed all the main numbers but not the Powerball number. They won the second Powerball prize.
For 4 of these players, it means they won $10 Lakh while two of them won $20 Lakh! Their secret: they had selected the Power Play option during the purchase of their entry.
