MRC Live & Alternative and Powerball officials announced that they are teaming up for the 4th consecutive year to present the “Powerball First Millionaire of the Year” promotion.
Players will travel to New York City to participate in the Powerball First Millionaire of the Year promotion. Players will get a chance to win $10 Lakh in a special drawing. This Powerball draw will be broadcast live on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2023,” on ABC.

Powerball’s First Millionaire of the Year 2023 FAQ
Powerball’s First Millionaire of the Year is a Powerball event launched in 2020 which gives a chance for players to win a trip to New York City for New Year’s Eve. Participating lotteries hold drawings to select a pool of semi-finalists.
Five winners (with their guests) each win a New Year’s Eve VIP Experience Trip valued at $20,000 to New York City to celebrate New Year’s Eve! Right after midnight, one of these winners is randomly selected to win a $10 Lakh prize.
Participating lotteries hold contests or drawings to randomly select a national pool of semi-finalists for a $10 Lakh prize.
Each state will pick a designated number of winners in their own drawings.
These players will all receive prizes from their state lottery and will be semi-finalists for the national promotion.
Finally: five of the semi-finalists will be selected prior to New Year’s Eve to receive the party package and compete for the $10 Lakh payout.

There are 30 state lotteries taking part in the 2023 competition: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana (Hoosier), Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississipi, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virgin Islands, Virginia, Washington D.C., West Virginia & Wisconsin.
Powerball’s First Millionaire of the Year 2023 will be announced just after midnight, on the set of the Powerball New Year’s Eve party in Times Square.
The VIP vacation experience package includes: travel, 3 nights in a Times Square hotel, $1,000 spending money and the opportunity to take in a Broadway show or Hudson River cruise. This goes without mentionning that the winners of this package will also attend the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve party in Times Square on December 31.
